Dr. J. Leung: DDS

Dr. Leung received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta in 1988. He has been practicing in the Metrotown and Surrey areas for over 30 years, building a diverse patient family and appreciating the unique attributes that bring a smile to each individual.

Dr. L. Lai: DDS

Dr Lawrence Lai graduated from McGill University Dental School in 2001 and has been working in both Calgary and Vancouver. He comes to work once a month at Metropointe Dental Clinic for providing surgical procedures such as implant placement, hard and soft oral tissue regeneration and wisdom teeth removal. Patients often commented that Dr Lai is very gentle to make them calm and comfortable for the treatments.

Dr. A. Cheema: DDS

Dr. Anu Cheema, a graduate of the University of British Columbia, has been practicing general dentistry for over 15 years. She believes in lifelong learning and provides patient-centered, gentle, functional, and aesthetic dental care. Dr. Cheema is dedicated to helping patients maintain healthy, beautiful smiles.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Cheema enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and taking dance classes. She is fluent in English and Punjabi.

S. Sull: Office Manager

Sandy, with a CDA from Douglas College, has been at Metro Pointe Dental for over 24 years, offering patient-centered care. Welcoming and helpful at reception, she enjoys family time, selling berries, and hiking in Golden Ears Provincial Park. She's traveled extensively across North America.

S. Bystedt: Dental Assistant

Shannon Bystedt has 31 years of experience as a dental assistant and has been with MetroPointe Dental for over 18 years. She ensures a welcoming and comfortable experience for all patients.

Living in Fraser Valley with her family, Shannon enjoys camping, BBQs, and family gatherings. She’s also a fan of action movies—ask her about Top Gun during your next visit!

Gi Yun is a skilled hygienist from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries, excels in patient education, focusing on oral hygiene, preventative care, and effective dental practices. She is dedicated to helping patients maintain optimal oral health.

Outside of work, Gi Yun enjoys traveling, watching movies, and cooking. She loves exploring new culinary delights and cultures. Her passion for travel enriches her experiences, bringing a well-rounded approach to life and health.

Dr. C. Tang: DMD

Dr. Tang, from the Greater Toronto Area, earned his DDS from the University of Toronto. He prioritizes patient education and building relationships, offering evidence-based care tailored to individual needs. Dr. Yi Yang, a board-certified periodontist and fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, received her periodontics training from Loma Linda University in the USA. She also completed her PhD at the University of British Columbia, where she is now a clinical assistant professor. Dr. Yang teaches periodontal courses in China and has extensive experience as an oral surgeon.

Her goal is to help patients save their teeth, regain chewing function with implants, and maintain oral health and a beautiful smile.

Dianne Lim, originally from the Philippines, has been a certified dental assistant with us since 2018, specializing in periodontal and general dentistry. Outside work, she enjoys baking with her daughter and biking the seawall with her family, soaking in mountain views.

Mary, a Certified Dental Assistant since 2019, prioritizes patient comfort and ensures a positive experience. She loves being part of the Metropointe team and helping people feel confident about their smiles.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys hiking with her 2-year-old son and exploring Vancouver's scenic views. She often goes on long drives to visit different lakes in the lower mainland for picnics with friends and family.
